| Victory Memorial Hospital |
Founded in the year 1900, Victory
Memorial Hospital and Skilled Nursing Center is a not-for-profit
voluntary medical institution that accommodates acute care patients as
well as long term care residents. Since its inception, the hospital has
served the health care needs of the community, regardless of race, color
or creed.
Located in the Bay Ridge community in Brooklyn, Victory Memorial has
been a beacon of health care services for generations, welcoming
thousands of patients who rely on us for their well being. Each patient
is treated with the utmost respect, a sense of caring and dignity. The
Victory "family" a qualified staff of physicians, nurses, technicians
and support personnel, involve themselves as a team, working together
toward the common goal of the good health of all the patients.
Greatly involved with the community, Victory Memorial provides
preventative care through associations with senior citizen centers,
organizations and other groups, offering regular health screenings,
health education and literature, Health Fairs and other services.
The hospital operates four Family Health Centers in various
neighborhoods where primary care medicine is offered to the public. In
addition, due to an influx of immigrants in the past few years, the
hospital also provides bi-lingual personnel and interpreters who can
make newcomers from such countries as China and Russia feel comfortable.
In addition to its Cardiac Care and Intensive Care Units, the hospital
provides all surgical services, both in-house and ambulatory, and many
specialties of medicine. Programs include the outpatient as well as
inpatient Physical Therapy Department, Women's Health Center, Diabetic
Foot Center, Pain Relief Center and Prenatal Care Assistant Program (PCAP)
for pregnant women.
Victory is also proud of its Cryosurgery procedure for patients with
prostate cancer; Lithotripsy--the disintegration of kidney stones
without the need for invasive surgery--and its Cardiac Rehabilitation
Program for patients with heart problems.
Rest assured that we are here for the health care
needs of your entire family.
